Our History

Spears Creek Baptist Church was founded in 1782 on the property it is on today. The current sanctuary was built in 1955, with renovations completed in 1999 and again in 2023. The church has also added over the years an Education Wing, a Fellowship Center, & a Gymnasium.

Spears Creek is currently affiliated the Southern Baptist Convention, South Carolina Baptist Convention, & the Columbia Metro Baptist Association.
